After a long day on the long-boat we were all hungry. We heard and read about a night market that had a small street of food. The first thing that stole my eyes were spring rolls, veg, meat, meat and veg. Deep fried a long time ago, they were still tasty.
The high light of this street was this lady selling chicken, pork and fish. The skewers made of bamboo held the meat into place to be cooked over charcoal. The fish tasted like lemon grass, while the pork was marinated in some special sauce, though it tasted of barbecue (cooked over coals). The charcoal chicken legs were just as lemony though the smokey flavour from cooking over the coals for a long time just makes you want more.
A few other stands were selling all you can eat on a plate. Serve yourself up some veggies, noodles, egg. After eating so much meat all ready we went for mostly vegetables to fill up our stomachs.
We returned every night to eat here, at the price who wouldn’t. Cheap and delicious.

This is one place I definitely want to visit in the near future, I heard Laos is beautiful. And there are just so many things to see and eat at night markets!
