It has been said that many woman start nesting the closer they come to their due date. Some take the term nesting to a whole new level with wild cleaning, scrubbing floors and washing things numerous times before bub arrives. Well I think I am about to start nesting.
Roy came home last week and he has one more week left before going away for his last stint in PNG before bub arrives. With him around we have planed to make a few changes around our house. Last time he was home, we sorted out our clothes and did a vinnies run, downsized and just cleaned out our bedroom. We made loads of space a whole draw for little ones new clothes. We even de-cobwebed the space, cleaned our bedside tables and lamps. Crazy.
This time round we are getting the practical things organised. Building shelves and coming up with cool storage ideas for the baby changing & washing area which I will show you next week. We have made a few changes to our general living space, keeping the cobwebs to a minimum and throwing out a whole bunch of things we don’t need and going through cupboards that we haven’t looked in for over six months.
It’s like we are doing a spring clean. It’s in no way manic. We are doing this at our own pace, one day we might do something then in three days we might find another task to tackle. As we have such a small living space of no more than 42 sqm total. We have to think on our toes and come up with creative solutions to where things are going to go and use our space to the best we can. Bub will be little at first but, they do grow extremely quickly. I guess we will have to keep changing things as we learn more and baby grows more.
Next week I will hopefully have a change & wash area sorted and a sleeping space to show you finished. Until then this weather has been unkind for the past week and I am going to keep taking it easy. Send us some rain and some cooler days please.
