30 Day Challenge | Get REAL about Wholefoods

walking-2Last week Roy went to the doctors to get his check-up. One of the things he wants to do is loose a few kilos and get off his blood medication. Since moving we are slowly implementing changes into our life to make it better.

On the 1st of September, Roy and I are going to do be doing a 30 day whole food challenge. I am creating a weekly meal plan for us and portion control is going to be the biggest factor for us. We eat well but probably just indulge ourselves a little bit more when it tastes so darn good.

The other thing we are planning on doing is taking 10,000 steps each day. This week we are getting ready and buying pedometers. So we can start tracking our movements and see how far 10,000 steps really looks like.

Spring is a great time of year for a health kick to give your body a bit of a shake up from the cooler months and get it ready for summer. Who knows we might even loose a few kilos.

Since I am going to all this hardwork for us to plan our meals each day. I wanted to put it out there to see if you would like to join us for the Get REAL about Wholefood 30 day challenge.   1. What an awesome idea! I think for my 30 day challenge… I just need to MOOOVE a little more! The gym is great, but I miss night and morning walks… gardening… I think once the spring sun shows it’s pretty face, it will make it a lot easier!

    • I love being outdoors. So I am hoping to spend more time outside when the weather is lush. Not long hopefully until the weather warms up. For now walking is going to be my thing.

  2. This is great! I think it is good to hold yourself accountable by shouting it out loud, you are far more likely to keep at it. Good luck with it!

  3. I love this, I went to a whole foods cooking workshop last Friday so am really keen to put it all into practice. Unfortunately we are moving interstate in September and I will be without a kitchen for a couple of weeks otherwise I would have definitely joined you on your challenge. Good luck with it I will be watching with interest.

  5. Good luck! We get enough steps — we walk at least 5 miles everyday — but portion control is always our Waterloo. Look forward to hearing about your experiences — I’ve heard the Whole 30, although challenging, is pretty effective.
