June Planting Chart

Australian JUNE vegetable planting guide

Winter is here and it is time to start thinking about tending your fruit trees. Keeping up the water and protect your plants from nasty southerly winds. Frosts also might start to creep in. Cover your plants with plastic cloches or plastic sheets at night to protect them from freezing. Move any potted plants to direct sun. Winter is a nice time to get on top of the weeds and relax from pest control.

By now most of us should have all our garlic in and if you are lucky like me, it should have shot through the thick mulch (or soil) –  we put mulch down to keep the soil nice and cool. Also it stops the weeds when the weather starts to warm up again.
