Fish In Cowboy Country?

We headed up from to Zacatecas to Sombrerete to see Sierra de Órganos. In english that’s The Organ Ranges. A wild west themed national park where films such as The Guns of Sebastian were filmed.

Anyway when we got to town we could only find one restaurant. A seafood restaurant! A long way from the sea! So we ate there with a little trepidation.

But the food was amazing. We got two random dishes i dont remember the names of. But one came wrapped in foil in a nice buttery sauce and lots of prawns. The second came in some creamy sauce and was even better. Hats off to the chef here. Tasted pretty fresh too, but must have been frozen really.

The next day we headed to the tourist office to try find out how we could get out to the park. After a little confusion she made a call and assured us she had sorted some transport for us. When it turned up it turned out to be the local police. Who drove us out and picked us up. Bizzare.

We spent the day wandering and it was pretty amazing.

One more post and i will actually get onto Peru, where i actually am.
