Hotdog, Guatamala

I am a big fan of that mystery food: the hotdog. So i am inclined to try all the regional versions i bump into along the way. This version was sampled in Antigua.

Firstly the Guatamalan hotdog in not one frank. It consists on two smaller sausage type bags of of processed goodness. Secondally it comes with gratted cabbage rather than onion, which was crunchy and good. And thirdly it comes with huge amounts of sauce.

I think there is tomato, mustard, sour cream and green hot sauce. It was too much. But when i ask for just a little i just get an odd look. Either its just no an option or my spanish sucks. Probably both.

The meat itself was hardly noticable. Which is probably a good thing.

But after removing some of the sauce with the provided napkin the hotdog was all in all very pleasing. I think the cabbage was a winner.
