Our new family member Harlan Rye is now 11 weeks old! I think the last post I wrote was around Isla’s Birthday and I was 3 weeks from my due date. Turns out I have prompt children who arrive on time, yep on their due dates.

Harlan has turned out to be the easiest baby ever. We are already down to two night feeds and a decent nap in the middle of the day. He hardly cries and he tolerates Isla jumping all over him. He has given us many smiles already and a few giggles. This guys grin is killer – look out girls.

A day after Isla’s birthday we bought a house. So over the past few months we moved out of our rental and in to our new house. Lucky for us it was only two blocks away making moving easy. We did it over a couple of weekends and with a few extra hands to help us along the way.

We often never do things in halves at our place. Everything all at once. Needless to say the past few months have been crazy. Roy has been working his guts out at work with shutdowns and other maintenance projects which left him occasionally staying back at working doing plenty of overtime.

Things have finally settled down and it is time to start focusing again on us our family. We have been strictly eating wholefoods (mostly vegetarian meals) for the past few months to change our diets for the better. I am even getting back into water kefir.  I have been walking again to get my fitness back plus tomorrow I will start a new workout group.  With the change I have decided on my new career path, mind you I have been contemplating it for over six months but just this week I have paid for a course and I start in October. It’s happening!  Life shake up!

Also next month we will be starting some pretty crazy renovations on the new house. Ripping up carpet, raising the house, building a front deck and I am sure the list will go on. I know it is going to take some time but I love a DIY project.

That’s it for now.  Hope you are well.

  1. Great to hear from you….what course did you enrol in? Health & Nutrition? You are going to be very busy with a reno but it’s fun doing projects to turn an old house into your home. Regards Kathy

    1. Ah Kathy you are too good! I am going to become a wellness and life coach specializing in helping people to eat better. I want to show more people to cook from scratch use wholefoods in their diet and if they want to go vegan I can help with that too.
Yes renovations is going to be fun and a long winded project but I can’t wait to do it. Life changes are awesome

  4. Harlan is an adorable little fella! Don’t your two look so sweet together. Wow so much exciting things happening! What is your course? Can’t wait to see the renovations. I do love old houses as I grew up in them and rented in them all my life but there’s nothing like an update bathroom and toilet. Don’t forget to get some rest in between all the busy.

  5. Hey Lizzie .. Gosh so much has happened! Isla has grown so much ..what a sweetie she is. And congratulations on your new baby! 😃 and your new home! How exciting ..
