From Luang Prabang, Kuang Si Falls is a one hour taxi ride away. A day trip here is necessary, for relaxing and unwinding,  listening to the water rush by or take the plunge and swing off a tree into the deep cool water. Details about the park at the bottom of post.

The place is truly beautiful which is great for photographers. The light that comes through the trees or clouds, depending on the day, make great photo opportunities. Capturing the movement of the water, the stillness of the surrounds or even the locals setting up a picnic.

BELOW: Some of the local children playing in the water.

Taxi (songthaeaw) or Tuk Tuk  – Get a group of people together and share the fare and organise for your driver to wait for your return, to take you back to Luang Prapbang. Ask any driver how much and negotiate a price to take you. There are many offering the service and will ask daily to go to the waterfalls.

ENTRY FEE: 20,000 Kip will get you into the park. You will also see rescued bears from poaching at the main entrance.
