On Sunday we had our Potato & Garlic Workshop run by Gary Hands from Kookaburra Organics. The morning was filled with information about growing in our area, how to plant and when to plant potatoes and garlic. Even I learnt a thing or two about storing garlic in our humid climate.
We had such a lovely morning surrounded by gardening enthusiasts and possibly a few market gardeners. Food on the Sunshine Coast is about to get much better and the participants from the workshop will now be growing killer spuds. A few of them have already got a crop in the ground – I can’t wait to see how they go.
