San Francisco by Bike

Well those of you who know Mr Ian will know he generally has a few bikes lying around. So he took me for a tour around the city by bike.

First was up and out of the mission to the panhandle (a park). Then down through the park to the avenues. Passing through the avenues we grabbed some vietnamese for lunch at Pho Clement. Gotta get my fill. No Pho Tai in Mexico i recon. It was one of the best bowels of Pho i have ever had, but not as good as Quan Thanh. It was recommended to me by street press.

Then we rode, well i pushed, up into the Precido. Then rode down and around towards the big red bridge. Stopping for a photo of Alctraz on the way. We then rode out on some old gun battlements and at one point had to take our bikes down a ladder.
Then around and under the freeway, along the beach. Through fishermans wharf. Then through the city, where we stopped for a beer. Then back to mission and some hippy supermarket (i think it had rainbow in the name) where we got tea & nuts. I also saw they sold hemp seeds which was something i havent seen before.
Great day. Bloody sore and tired at the end.

Growing veggies, keeping the solar going and listening to music; one might think Roy never leaves his home with his green thumb yet he is an adventurous foodie who loves trying the weird and wonderful cuisines of any culture. An electrical engineer by trade his nerdiness also crosses over into his love for folk music and playing warhammer.
