I don’t know if you know that my friends are all amazing. Last week while I was in Brisbane two of best ladies got together for a few beers at the Burrow in West End. It was time to catch up on gossip, swap stories, brainstorm and exchange contacts. Since leaving Brisbane I miss the art of going to a pub for a drink to catch up with friends.

At the table Mel the artist/teacher, Verena the performing artist/teacher and me business lizness/food enthusiast. A camera, our creativity, pens and paper across the table, we made use of our time. The photos of beer are courtesy of Verena’s photographic skills, while others are mine. Art work is done my Mel.

Talented Mel Davis has her studio open to the public at Norman Park from Saturday the 13th October – 19th October. The drawings above are all hers – so clever. If she can draw all of those in 15 minutes imagine what is hiding at her studio. Gold, make sure to stop by and say a big hello from me.
