Where to Buy Organic Meat | Sunshine Coast

Over the past few years I have managed to meet a few local farmers and I wanted to share with you all the best places to buy farm fresh meat here on the Sunshine Coast. I am a big believer in supporting local food which means supporting the farmers who grew it. Below is a list that outlines the farms from the shops.

Not all of the farms on the list are certified organic, however I have listed them first so you can have an informed choice. All of the farms are located in the Sunshine Coast area – think of this as your guide to buying ethical meat grown locally.

Go on, support a farmer.

Baranbali Farm – Connondale
Yvonne offers Certified Organic meat from her farm gate each Friday afternoon. You can buy some heritage breed pork, their popular lamb roasts and of course beef in all different cuts. They have a great range of suausages and even have some pretty special bacon. Click HERE to find out more.

Eumundi Beef – Belli Park
Bio-dynamic grass-fed beef available every Friday afternoon at Susan’s farm gate. Eumundi Beef offer bulk packs for families of all sizes and their mince is just amazing which you can also buy from the Perigian Market once a month.  These cows are very loved, click HERE to find out more.

Bonnie Beef – Wolvi
I have heard rave reviews about beef from these guys. You will find them every Sunday at the Noosa Farmers Market. The beef is raised at Wolvi just outside of Gympie. They believe in small farms that adhere to the humane treatment of cattle. Click HERE to read more

  1. Great list. I was talking to the owners of Kidaman Beef the other day. They have a group stall with the Walkers who have free range chooks and organic eggs there too. It’s beyond time that we start buying meat that’s not stuffed full of things we don’t want to consume.

  2. Hi Liz,
Thanks heaps for mentioning our business Kidaman Beef on your post! Our markets days have recently changed so that we are now at the Big Top Market Fresh Maroochydore on Wednesdays (10-6), Fridays (3-8pm) and Saturdays (8-3pm) as well as Kawana Farmers Markets every Saturday. But unfortunately we are no longer regularly at the Noosa Farmers Markets on Sundays – occasionally we are when other markets (for example this wknd Anzac day) are closed but not every week. Thanks heaps, we really appreciated you supporting local farmers and families!
