Win a Double VIP Pass to Brisbane Good Food & Wine Show

It’s that time of year again The Brisbane Good Food & Wine Show is on 17th to 19 October at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Center. This year the show is going back to the roots of where food comes from with plenty of food producers from around Queensland.

The show is about talking to producers, meeting wine experts and picking the brains of those who know how to cook. There are plenty of displays of cool kitchen gadgets which keep filling your draws or get inspired by some celebrity chefs.

This year you can see Miguel Maestre, Maggie Beer, Matt Moran and Adriano Zumbo share their recipes and tips. If you don’t feel like cooking maybe sit on a wine tasting, do a coffee masterclass, get your fav cookbook signed or sit in with David Brookes from the Barossa and match cheese and wine.

  1. Good Food is the light of my life, and I’ve found such wonderful treasures since moving to Queensland. My favorite place for food in Queensland would have to be the Asian markets in Inala where I can pick up luscious things like mangosteen, turmeric root, and fresh-squeezed sugar cane juice, things I can rarely find anywhere else. It’s also one of the best people-watching spots around as folks from all over the world converge to share herbs, spices, and a marvelous array of fresh produce. I love it there. 🙂

  2. Good food is imperative to me right now, I am trying to control my Rheumatoid Arthritis autoimmune disease through my food and lifestyle. The BEST place in Brisbane catering for this is Primal Pantry with Paleo Cafe coming in second. These consider the minority of the population, not shut them out. For fresh organic produce it has to be Northey Street City markets on a Sunday and Wrays Organics for top ups

  3. Good Food is not hard to find in Brisbane. I love going to West End and sampling the Vietnamese cuisine to some Greek delights. Then topping it all off with a swig of some boutique beer!

  4. good food is essential to live a happy and healthy life.I love the restaurants and eateries in southbank. It’s ecclectic.Lots of variety and a lovely ambience

  5. Good Food and wine brings friends and families together. Throughout Brisbane you can find an array of Farmers Markets from Brisbane City to Mitchelton, Eagle Farm and many more. With the best homemade foods, beautiful wines and fresh produce on offer, you can always find something for a simple dinner at home or to please the masses. They are my favourite foodie places in Queensland, but you still can’t beat the Good Food and Wine Show whenever it is on!

  6. Good food is what makes meals special. Everyone has to eat, but good food makes it so much better. People are growing and producing lots of great food around Brisbane. I love finding locally produced food, sold at markets or on at the farm gate. I buy honey straight from the bee keeper in Mitchelton, get organic lemons from a road stall in Samford, and eggs from free range chooks, from a neighbour. I am working on a garden myself, to be able to enjoy my own produce, but also to pass it on to others, to enjoy, as i enjoy the produce from growers I have found. 🙂

  7. Good food places are all over Queensland and in many people’s homes. But I love love love Maison de Provence in Cooroy for delicious authentic French afternoon and morning teas; The Spirit House in Yandina for fabulous Thai food (their cooking classes are great too) and all the wonderful things at Mick’s Nuts in West End – but be ready to join the queue in West End!
